Betty Jean White, 81, Brazil, died at 5 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in the emergency room at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

She was born June 11, 1926, in Brazil, as the daughter of James H. and Jeanetta Fern Williams Anderson.

Following graduation from high school, she married Charles Andrew White, June 19, 1948, in Mecca, Ind.

In addition to raising her children, she had worked for 13 years as a receptionist at the AP&S Clinic, Terre Haute.

She was a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending time with her family. She was a member of Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Anderson Trout and brother Bobby Anderson.

She is survived by her husband Charles, sons Terry A. White and wife Janet, and Michael L. White; brothers Donald Anderson and wife Mary, and Bill Anderson and wife Pat, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. Following cremation, her ashes will be buried at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
