Anna K. Roeschlein Bridgewater, 83, Brazil, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 14, 2008.

She resided at Holly Hills for the past five months. Mom liked being there and gained many new friends with her witty personality.

Anna was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Clay County, the daughter of Earl and Seddona Deakins Roeschlein. She graduated from Staunton High School, Class of 1942. She loved dancing, going to basketball games and listening to music. Her brother, William "Whitey" Roeschlein, was the coach at Staunton for many years and she was an avid fan of watching his teams.

Anna was a devoted daughter, and cared for her parents for many years. In 1988, she moved to southern Indiana to care for them. At this time she enjoyed attending the Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Ind. In 1991, she moved back to Clay County. She has always been an animal lover and she enjoyed her dogs and cats over the years, especially Rosie. Music has continued to be a favorite of hers, and she particularly enjoyed listening to Patsy Cline and watching Elvis music videos.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother William Whitey Roeschlein.

Survivors include her two daughters Janelee Johnson and husband Terry of Brazil and Marylee Tolbert and husband Dale, Vevay, Ind., five grandchildren Marty Johnson, Terre Haute, Tracy Johnson, Los Angeles, Calif., Robbe Johnson, Brazil, Clinton Tolbert, Muncie, and Colton Tolbert, Vevay, and nieces and nephews.

At Anna's request, there will be a private family service on Saturday at 1 p.m., at French Funeral Home, with Brother Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. If friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Clay County Humane Shelter, 8280 N CR 125 W Brazil, IN., 47834, or to the Switzerland County Animal Shelter, 19 McCreary's Ridge, Florence, IN., 47020.
