Leatha H. Rogers, 98, Terre Haute, formerly of Carbon, died at 4:04 p.m., April 16, 2008, at Meadows Manor North, Terre Haute.

She was born Nov. 28, 1909, in Raccoon Township, Parke County, as the daughter of Jasper Earl and Rona Archer Hansel.

She married Kenneth Floyd Rogers April 20, 1935. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1978.

She worked with her husband farming the family farm and had also worked at Quaker Maid in Terre Haute.

She was a 50-year member of O.E.S. Huguenot, Indiana, Dames of the Court of Honor, Past President of the Daughters of Colonial Wars, Pocahontas Lodge, Indiana Pioneers and the Indiana Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, son Kenneth "Kenny" Hansel Rogers in April 1991, and brother James Lawrence Hansel, who died June 25, 1922.

She is survived by several cousins, including Leatha Andrew, Sarah Nairn and Rhoama Tallman.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 18, at Moore Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Richard Pippin officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Parke County.
