The Clay City High School golf team welcomed a chance to play its home course Monday, and took advantage of familiar territory with a 157-199 team win over short-handed North Central High School.
Zach Boggs, who shot a one-over 35 on the 9-hole course, led the Eels.
North Central was led by Caleb Gilman, who shot a 42 for the evening.
"Boggs had one bad hole, he easily could've shot a few under," Clay City Coach Chris Ames said.
Josh Strain had the next best score, finishing at 38 for the evening, followed by Braxton Griffith at 40.
Dallas Graham turned in a 44, and Andy Shaffer shot 46 for the round. Austin Sinders rounded out the evening with a 51.
"I'm real pleased with our scores tonight. It was a perfect night for playing," Ames said.
"We've been struggling playing off our course, hopefully this will be a kick start now we'll be playing at home more."
The Eels next play Thursday at Eagle View Golf Course.
