James Andrew McKenzie II, 46, Terre Haute, died at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in the emergency room at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil.

He was born May 12, 1962, in Terre Haute, as the son of James Andrew and Phylis J. Riker McKenzie.

Following graduation from high school, he worked as a water works supervisor with the Seelyville Water Works and as a truck driver for BTI Trucking, Brazil.

He was a volunteer firefighter with the Seelyville/Lost Creek Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.

He was a member of SAL American Legion Squadron 346, Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, daughters Nikki McKenzie, Terre Haute, and Jamie McKenzie, Missouri, son William "Willy" McKenzie, Terre Haute, sisters Anita Jackson and husband Mike, Terre Haute, Sherri Johnston and husband Ken, and Merri West and husband Ron, all of Seelyville, brother Tim McKenzie, Seelyville, granddaughters Fayth and Abby McKenzie, Terre Haute, partner Anita Meyers, Staunton, and several nieces and nephews.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. A memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at the Wayne Newton American Legion Post 346, 1346 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute.
