Officials are unable to determine the cause of a fire at a residence this morning due to heavy damage.

Brazil firefighters arrived on the scene of a garage fire at Randy Treash's 1113 North Forest Ave., Brazil, home shortly before 11:30 a.m.

With the intense fire and the heavy black smoke coming from inside the structure, all four of the department's fire trucks were on the scene at one point.

Brazil Fire Chief Jim Smith told The Brazil Times firefighters were able to contain the fire inside the insured garage.

Although investigators believe electrical problems might have caused the fire, Smith said the damage was too extensive to determine a cause.
