A combination of timely offense, stingy defense and stifling pitching is tough to beat.
Northview's 'B' baseball team scored five runs over the first three innings and Logan Kile allowed just four hits in pitching the Knights past visiting Terre Haute North, 9-1.
Kile went the distance against the Patriots, throwing seven innings and allowing just one run in the victory. The sophomore righthander struck out six batters with three walks.
Defense was an important factor in the win with Northview committing no errors in the game.
At the plate, Zac Niehaus smacked two singles and drove in two runs for the Knights. Joey Thomas singled, doubled and drove home a pair of runs and Andrew Butts singled in a run as well.
Seth Lunsford singled in a run and Kile helped his own cause with a pair of singles and drove home a run. Drake Stevenson walked three times and earned an RBI and Jordan Allen singled.
The win propels Northview to a 10-1 record on the season.
