TERRE HAUTE -- After rain claimed Friday's night's scheduled opener at the Terre Haute Action Track, Sunday presented the chance for an early evening sprint car show.
Forty-one cars unloaded for the chance at a win at the prestigious ½ mile.
Sun and dust became an issue due to the early start time and red flagged the race after a four-car flip with 10 laps down.
Once the sun set, Robert Ballou was able to overcome Jesse Hockett's dominating start with some great side-by-side racing.
Ballou eventually claimed the win ahead of Hockett, Brady Short, Damion Gardner and Levi Jones.
