Northview linksters fall two shots short of Greencastle

Monday's golf match against visiting Greencastle was a prime example of just how important each stroke is each time on the course.

The Tiger Cubs got a medalist effort from Eric Davis with a 36 as Greencastle scored a 154 to 156 victory over the Knights.

The loss was just the second in dual match play for the Knights (7-2) and Greencastle improved to 10-2 overall.

Kade Baker shot a 38 to lead the Knights with Drew Snyder close behind with a 39 along with Daniel Eaglin. Jordan Gaskill carded a 40, Byron Felchlia shot a 42 and Matt Williams added a 43.

The junior varsity team won a 163 to 213 match over the Tiger Cubs led by a 39 from Josh Hoskins.

Ryan Turner shot a 40 for the Knights followed by a 41 from Jacob Musgrave, a 43 from Dylan Moore and a 44 from Brad Smith. Jarrod Short shot a 46 and Jake Short added a 55 in the win.

Northview travels to Hulman Links to face Terre Haute North tonight at 4:30 p.m.
