Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. Children's Church, Wee Worship and extended nursery are at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The van is wheel chair equipped.

There will be no Sunday evening service nor practices this week.

The regular Wednesday Evening Bible Study and Prayer Group will resume meeting next week. The time is 7 p.m.

The elders will meet on Monday, May 12 at 6 p.m., followed by the regular meeting of the church board at 7 p.m.

The Christian Fellowship Club will meet for lunch at Pizza Hut on Wednesday, May 14, at 11:30 a.m.

Happy Birthday greetings go out to Bonnie Lister and to Josie Latham.

We welcome Chris Ross into our fellowship. He placed his membership with our congregation last Sunday evening.

The date for the Ladies Dinner is May 18 at 5 p.m. Verna Davis will be the guest speaker.


We continue to need contributions to help pay for our church's new roof. If you would like to donate, please contact Janet Young at 448-3210.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, May 21. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
