FRANKFORT -- The Clay City Eels won a pair of softball games to claim the Clinton Prairie Classic championship.
The Eels downed host team 6-4 in the opening contest, getting a 2-for-4 game at the plate from Tasha Collenbaugh, who also had two stolen bases with an RBI.
Shelby Targett also had two hits with a double and an RBI and Angie Camp contributed a double.
In the title game, the Eels' downed Class 2A No. 10 Union County, 3-1.
Collenbaugh added another RBI in the game and Emily Reed had a 2-for-3 game with a double and Chelsea Hane doubled with an RBI.
Clay City (13-4) travels to Bloomfield today at 4:30 p.m.

Northview softball
Northview's Kaylee Clark smacked three hits and drove home three runs as Northview won 11-0 over Turkey Run on Saturday.
Kyler Clark went 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and an RBI and Katie Smith had an RBI with a 2-for-4 game. Erica Conrad had two hits and drove home a run in the victory.
Emily Phillips drove home two runs with a 2-for-4 game with a double and Jessica LaTourette also drove home two runs with a double and two hits.
Northview (11-9) had a 15-hit attack and Shelby Colson got the pitching victory.
