Laundry Aide Myrna McMurray was surprised Monday afternoon when Exceptional Living Centers, Inc., President Lynn Redmond presented her with the company's first ever corporate-wide "Shining Star" award. Redmond, who drove in from Kentucky to present the award personally, said during McMurray's 23 years with the facility she has set the company's standard of excellence. After receiving a plaque, a crystal "Shining Star" and a check for $2,000, a stunned McMurray said, "Oh, good grief, and to think, I just came in here for cake and punch."
