Students in the Northview High School drama and choir will present "100 Years of Broadway," a musical journey through the past 100 years of the Broadway stage at 7:30 p.m. today.

The event will take place at the NHS auditorium and will celebrate the history of Broadway.

Director Steve McCullough said more than 85 students are involved in the program, which he described as a "choral medley."

"They have worked so hard on this," McCullough said.

The event is part of Northview's 2008 Spring Arts program, which will also include the NHS art department displaying artwork, beginning at 7 p.m.

The show will consist of traditional Broadway music, contemporary Broadway music, music from Tin Pan Alley and music from Rodgers and Hammerstein and other contemporaries.

In addition to McCullough, directors include student teacher/conductor Michael Grubb and choreographer Sara Lueken as well as Drama teacher Dianna Knox.

Technical crew includes Andrick Eldridge, Alec Manke and Phil Atkinson while art department representatives include Amy Wetnight, Brett Haviland and Peggy Taylor.
