The Clay Community Schools Corporation Transportation office conducted its annual fish fry Friday while also honoring two retirees.

Joann Price and Bonnie Graham both will retire this year following years of service for CCSC as bus drivers.

Price has worked for the corporation for 36-and-a-half years. She has driven several routes while with the corporation and also drove three years in Indianapolis before coming to Clay County.

Graham has worked for the corporation for six years but also worked in Lake County prior to coming to Clay County. She said she's driven for the school corporation for approximately 20 years.

CCSC Transportation Director Frank Misner gave both Price and Graham the Distinguished Hoosier certificate provided by Gov. Mitch Daniels Friday for their years of service to the corporation.

Wow Joanne Price was a driver back in my day and she is retiring? I think im getting really old. Betty was my daughters bus driver this past school year and is a very sweet lady as well. You both will be missed and thanks for your many years of dedication. Now enjoy yourselves and your retirement.
