Keep the neighbors in mind

To the Editor:

To whom it may concern,

Hello. I would like to start by saying that I have been a resident of Clay County all of my life and have really enjoyed living here, until lately.

The reason in this letter is concern. I am concerned with several different things, but the main concern is the ability to help people out in the time of need.

This includes all township trustees and the community in which we reside.

I am a middle-aged guy with a wife and 2-year-old.

I was let go from my job as a machinist back in April, and have been looking for a job since. I became a resident of Jackson Township over a year ago and simply loved it, until I went to file for assistance and found there are more "loopholes" than anyone person could ever imagine.

I do not disagree with the ways the township trustees do things, but at the same time, should people be turned down for "conflicts of interest?"

Well, that's the case here in our community. Our residents who vote our trustees in, so let's be very careful in the future as to who we vote in and make sure that the funds available are just that!

Jason Litz,
