INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Fever's Katie Douglas is the WNBA Eastern Conference player of the week.
Douglas is averaging 21.4 points through the Fever's first five games this season. She set a team record with at least 20 points in each of her first four games and averaged 19 points and 5 rebounds as Indiana went 2-1 last week.
Douglas played at Purdue and came to the Fever in an offseason trade with Connecticut.
It's the third time in her eight-year career she has been chosen player of the week.
