The Brazil Rotary is gearing up for its 73rd Fourth of July Celebration, scheduled to take place June 28-July 4, at Forest Park.

The club puts on one of the largest Fourth of July celebrations annually. The week-long event will feature a carnival and midway, along with free entertainment nightly in the Forest Park Band Shall and Pavilion.

Carnival vendors will provide food along with local community groups. A Jonah Fish Fry is also scheduled with proceeds going to support activities for both the Northview and Clay City High School bands. The fish fry will take place from 4-7:30 p.m., Monday, June 30 inside the pavilion. Cost is $6.50 for adults or $7 at the door. Children will be admitted for $3.50 with an advance ticket or $4 at the door.

Between 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, June 30, Northview's band will perform at the band shell.

Raffle tickets are currently available and are being sold by local Rotarians. There are prizes awarded every night of the event and the grand prize of $10,000 will be awarded at 11 p.m., July 4.

The event kicks off Saturday, June 28, with a 5K walk/run sponsored by the YMCA of Clay County. The walk/run will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The week-long celebration will culminate with a fireworks show with musical accompaniment provided by B102.7-FM, and the grand prize drawing.
