Reader pleased with road work

To the Editor:

With all the ruination that has occurred in Brazil and surrounding areas, and all the city and county employees working around the clock, I felt now would not be a good time to address deep ruts in the alley behind my home and others living in the Blaine/Logan/Indi-ana/Washington street area of the city.

But, what a surprise it was to hear three city employees working on this problem early Wednesday morning, particularly since this is a financial drain on the city. The guys did a wonderful job, two on foot with shovels and a loader to scrape and bring up our hilly alley.

We are very appreciative of the rapid response to what is really a minor problem when weighed against the more pressing problems of water/erosion, etc.
