The camp, according to camp coordinator Pam Fischer, began the day after school was out in the county.
The camp, according to officials, is scheduled to conclude in early August.
Fischer said approximately 80 children attend the camp daily, which runs Monday-Friday, from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
She said the children range in age from pre-Kindergarten through junior high school.
The children took part in a holiday cookout Wednesday at Forest Park Elementary School, eating hot dogs while also making the flags.
