I hesitate correcting anyone for grammatical errors because I do them so often too, but this one bugs me each time I see it in the paper.

"Umm" is usually used as a filled pause - a word used to fill in the blanks between words during which the speaker thinks or hesitates, and also includes the words "uh" and "er." Example: I went to the park and rode, ummm, four rides.

To refer to something tasting good, it's simply, "Mmm."



Regardless of grammar, it looks like Jessey is enjoying his hot dog.

When you are talking of a kid enjoying food and how to express it grammer goes out the window!
