CPC Baby Photo Contest set

Friday, July 4, 2008

The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Brazil (CPC) is sponsoring its annual Baby Photo Contest fundraiser during the Clay County 4-H Fair, July 12-17.

Prizes will include a $50 savings bond for the winner and various other prizes for the winner and runner-ups, donated by local merchants.

Entries must be postmarked no later than midnight July 9. Babies must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 2007, and have not been a winner in a previous contest to participate.

The photo may be a maximum of 5X7 and must have the baby's name and date of birth on the back along with the parent's name, address and phone number.

All photos will be returned by mail following the contest.

Children of CPC volunteers, staff or board members are not eligible. A $2 entry fee must accompany the entry form and photo.

Voting will take place at the CPC booth at the Fairgrounds and will begin at 5 p.m., July 12, and end at 9 p.m., July 17.

Donations of money are made to represent votes. Babies with the most money donated win the prizes as distributed by CPC.

All proceeds will benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Wabash Valley.

Entry forms will be available at the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Brazil, 20 N. Meridian St., open from noon-5 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

Entry forms may also be picked up at The Brazil Times.

For more information, call Brazil Crisis Pregnancy Center Director Ann Coker at 448-3948.

Thanks for the up-front write-up about the Baby Photo Contest sponsored by the local Crisis Pregnancy Center at the Clay County 4-H Fair beginning Saturday 12 July. When asking for a spot for this community news, we did not realize we'd get front page. While this is not a beauty contest, it is an opportunity to connect with the community and to raise funds for the services offered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. You have been generous with space and coverage. Due to the fact that the 4-H Fair is early this year, the CPC will extend the deadline to July 10 Thursday noon for the photo entries to get in. Thanks again. ~ Ann Coker, Director of Client Services, Crisis Pregnancy Center, 20 N. Meridian St., Brazil
