Kick off of Goshorn Park concert season

The White Knuckles Band will officially kick off the concert season at Goshorn Park, Clay City, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday.

The band, from Petersburg, consists of Rick Mayo on rhythm guitar, Jerry Adams on fiddle, Aaron Thomas on mandolin, Joe Sumner on banjo and vocals, Bertha Marie Sumner on bass and vocals, and Jeff Sumner, pastor of the Union Chapel Church of the Nazarene will be the band's special guest.

The band will perform a variety of music, including bluegrass, country and gospel.

The Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department will serve homemade ice cream and pies before and during the concert.

Those interested in attending are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. In addition, in case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside the Orange Building.

The Jackson Township Concert Band will also perform at the park on July 26 while Salt Cured will perform Aug. 2.
