Hospital to offer ID cards for children

Thursday, July 10, 2008

St. Vincent Clay Hospital will partner with K-ID's BMV, Inc., at the Clay County 4-H Fair from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, July 12, in an effort to provide free identification cards for children and families to use in emergency situations.

Each plastic ID card includes an updated photograph, height, weight and a digital thumbprint. It also features the child's address, birth date and emergency information, such as medical conditions and their physician's contact information.

Due to the advanced technology, the convenient mobile service takes no longer than two minutes to create the cards.

Additionally, St. Vincent Clay Hospital will offer a variety of free health screenings and educational materials on health and wellness July 13-16.
