She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Dorotha was born July 8, 1920, to Chauncey and Myrtle (Kuykendall) Louderback.
On Jan. 13, 1940, she married Max Harrison, who, after 66 years of marriage, preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2006.
Dorotha was a 1938 graduate of Staunton High School and Brown Business College. She was a lifelong member of the Staunton Christian Church.
In 1954, she became a founding member of the Modern Mrs. Homemakers' Club and was an active member until her death.
Dorotha will be remembered for putting the concerns of others above her own. Her family and friends fondly remember her home-cooked meals and pies as well as her many pieces of needlework.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Nellie Louderback, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Delbert and Lorene Harrison and Durward and Alice Harrison.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Don and Marian Harrison, Brazil, son David Harrison, Robinson, Ill., five grandchildren Amy (and David) Boor, Todd (and Mandy) Harrison, Autumn Harrison, Amber Harrison and Sarah (and Jon) Tyler, five great-grandchildren Dylan and Katie Boor, Hannah Harrison and Savannah and Isaac Tyler, and niece Jeanne Handick.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, at French Funeral Home, Brazil, with funeral services set for 11 a.m., with Pastor Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
The family suggests that those so desiring may make contributions to the Staunton Christian Church in her memory.
