Students to show off latest styles

Friday, July 18, 2008

It's that time of the year again, when students start looking into the latest fashion for the best outfit on the first day of school. Don't worry, help is on the way. On July 24, from 6-8 p.m., at the Brazil Public Library, a Back to School Style Show will take place. Tammy Robinson is the coordinator for the show this year.

"I'm really excited and nervous," Robinson said. "The date is getting closer and there is still so much more to do."

Robinson and Jill Scarbrough have been working hard the last couple of months with the local businesses of Wal-Mart, Cato and Goodwill, to select the outfits and prepare the models.

The show will feature various outfits to coordinate with the seasons and the dress codes of surrounding schools. There are six models, one boy and girl, from the grade levels of elementary, junior high and high school.

When asked if the show would become an annual event Robinson replied, "If it goes well then hopefully so!"

For more information, contact Tammy Robinson at 448-1981.
