CCSC searching for available substitutes

For those interested in signing up to be a substitute teacher for Clay Community Schools, the Central Administration Office in Knightsville will be open between 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Those interested are asked to apply by July 30 if they want to be available for the beginning of the 2008-09 school calendar.

In order to be eligible for substitute teaching in Clay Community Schools, applicants must have a valid Indiana Teacher License or an Indiana Substitute Teacher permit. A transcript showing completion of at least 60 college credit hours and a certified check or money order for $15 must be made payable to the State of Indiana are required to apply for a substitute teacher permit.

The permits are valid for three years.

Individuals interested in other substitute work for Clay Community Schools, such as instructional assistant, secretarial, food services or custodial, should also apply at the Central Administration office.
