There are two Federal Emergency Management Agency Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers in the area for those in need of flood assistance.
One is located at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, located at the corner of 13th and College Streets, Terre Haute. The other center is located at Spencer Elementary School, 151 Hillside Ave., Spencer.
The center in Owen County opened Saturday and will remain open through Wednesday, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
The Terre Haute center is open Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. It will remain open until further notice.
Applicants may come to the center regardless of where they live. Representatives from FEMA (individual assistance and mitigation), and the United States Small Business Administration are on hand at the centers to field questions.
FEMA representatives said they chose the locations for centers based on need and that only so many are available to put in the area.
