Two roads remain closed due to the storm that passed through Clay County late Monday night/early Tuesday morning:
* County Road 100 South, between CR 100 and 200 E, because of a fallen tree and power lines, and
* Lower Bloomington Road because of downed power lines.
The Clay County Highway Department is currently working to clean up those areas.
According to the Duke Energy web site, because of the storm, a total of 4,749 Clay County residents lost power at some point since 11 p.m., Monday night.
However, only 409 remain without power as of 9:45 a.m., Tuesday.
Also, the traffic light in front of the Brazil Wal-Mart is currently not functioning. Drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution in any areas with storm damage.
The Brazil Times will update this story as details become available.
