Harper and her three sons, Brevan, Cainan and Jace, are the latest recipients of a home through Clay County Habitat for Humanity.
"Without this organization, I don't think we'd have a home," Harper said Sunday.
Habitat for Humanity conducted a ribbon cutting celebration for the opening of the home Sunday.
The home, located at 309 W. McDonald St., Brazil, took nearly nine months to complete and is the fifth home the organization has completed.
Clay County Habitat for Humanity President Jerry Morgan said the organization has completed four homes in Brazil and one south of Cory.
The local organization was established in 1995.
Habitat for Humanity representative Keith Bowers said those receiving the home must put in work time in the building process. In addition, they must have some income, he said, but the amount can't be too high or they won't qualify for the program.
