ROCKVILLE -- Parke Players will present the fourth annual Ritz Follies, a variety show at the historic Ritz Theater in Rockville, at 8 p.m., Saturday.
Scheduled to perform at the fundraising event are singers and musicians throughout the Wabash Valley. Among the lineup of performers for the 2008 Ritz Follies include: St. Louis-based band Capital Theory, Cheyenne Chaplain, John Frank, Kristin Grady, Debbie Harnke, Paige Miller, Rick Morris, Debbie Nelson, The Old Gospel Boys, Allie Peters, Savannah Richardson, Dorothy and Chris Smith, Amarie Spivey and Melina, Mark Stucker, Grace Swaim, Sammie Tidwelll, Bailey Whitmen, The Wildfire Band, Ray Wolverton, Samantha Wright and Roger Wycoff.
The show will be hosted by Don Collins. Tickets are $6 for the event and the doors to the theater will open at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the Ritz Follies will go toward the continuing renovation of the Ritz Theater. The historic Rockville landmark has undergone extensive renovation during the past six years and funding is needed to complete additional improvement projects that include painting the exterior of the theater and completion of the production facility.
This year, the theather was plagued by a series of failures in several digital control systems and cinema audio caused by an atmospheric discharge during an electrical storm in April.
