The Jackson Township Community Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will perform at the Indiana State Fair, Wednesday, Aug. 6.
The band will appear in a parade at 6:30 p.m., throughout the fairgrounds and in concert at 7:30 p.m., in front of the Home and Family Arts Pavilion.
The band has performed at the state fair since 1996.
Organized in Hoosierville in 1915, the JTCB began as a farm boys' band, making it an appropriate ensemble for the state fair.
The well-traveled musicians have performed from coast to coast for conventions of the American Legion and play throughout the Wabash Valley each year for festivals and events in Brazil, Clay City, Center Point, Merom, Hymera, Farmersburg, Parke County, Greencastle and Clinton.
Following the state fair performance, the band will perform at the Clinton Little Italy Festival Aug. 29.
