Cagles Mill Lake in the Lieber State Recreation Area, a non-profit organization, has become one of those hot spots. People in the area and use the park have decided to form a group to help buff up the area.
Friends of Cagles Mill Lake are being formed and asking for community involvement.
"We want to invite the community to join us in our efforts to help promote the natural and cultural resources of the recreation area," Debbie Hofmann, member of the organization, said.
The members plan to build and improve trails, and also improve the wildlife and the environment of the property.
Fundraising events are being planned, and members are working with the Nature Center Staff to promote programs and other activities within the Lieber State Recreation Area.
Friends of Cagles Mill Lake meet once a month at the Lieber State Recreation Center at 7 p.m. (dates vary).
To make a monetary donation make checks payable to the Cagle Mill Lake Friends Group c/o Lieber State Park Recreation Area, 1317 W. Lieber Rd., Cloverdale, IN 46120.
