JACKSON TOWNSHIP BETTER HOMES EXTENSION CLUB
The Jackson Township Better Homes Extension Club met July 24, at the home of Ann Carol Harden.
President Lauralee Hawkins called the meeting to order with Mazo Modesitt leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Homemakers Creed. For devotions, Shirley Koehler read "What A Difference A Sad Event Makes In A Person's Life," by George Carlin.
Fourteen members answered roll call by describing the dumbest thing they ever did in the kitchen.
Ann Carol Harden led in singing "America The Beautiful." "Happy Birthday" was sung to Shirley Koehler. Glenna Ogborn read the secretary's and treasurer's reports.
Norma Diel's citizenship report covered informational tidbits from Indiana.
Several business matters were discussed. Thank yous were given to the participants and workers at the 4-H Fair.
Some upcoming lessons were reminded. The couny projects were decided on.
The closing prayer was sung. Wilma Nicoson won the hostess gift.
Others present were Bobbi Cayton, Mary Alice Foulke, Ruth Haas, Carmen Jackson, Mary Kent, Barbara Powell and Ann Stigler
The next meeting will be at the home of Bobbi Cayton on Aug. 28, at 7 p.m.
