Happy Anniversary Greetings go out to Jimmy and Laurie Pleake. The church family rejoiced to witness the baptism of Hannah Barnett last Sunday morning. We welcome her into our fellowship.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Church service begins at 10:30. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of our friends at Staunton First Christian Church, as well as other churches, civic organizations, and individuals, in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.

If you have news to share, send it to me at 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd., Brazil. All news is greatly appreciated.
