Three Terre Haute juveniles, apparently unfamiliar with the area, sustained minor injuries in an accident near Perth Thursday night.
According to information provided by the Clay County Sheriff's Department, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Justin Greenwell, 17, was driving southbound on a winding section of North Rock Run Church Road near the Hell's Gate area when he apparently lost control of his pickup truck.
The truck crossed the roadway and crashed into a ditch, breaking a Parke County REMC electrical pole in half and damaging a Verizon telephone junction box.
Greenwell and his passengers Justin Heichel, 16, and Ryan Baker, 17, sustained minor injuries.
No further details were available about their condition.
Officials confirmed the road was closed for approximately 90 minutes while REMC service crews removed the fallen power lines from the roadway and re-established power to local residents.
Verizon was notified about the damage to their junction box, but it is unknown if local residents lost service.
No citations were issued during the incident.
