He was born July 20, 1930, in Brazil, to the late Alvin and Irene Gerber Buck. He was a 1950 graduate of Brazil High School. He received his B.S. at Indiana State University in 1957, and his M.A. at ISU in 1961. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an English and Speech teacher at Delphi Community High School for 33 years, before retiring. He was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and the National Education Association. He enjoyed traveling, traveled the world extensively and had been in all 50 states.
Surviving him are sister Norma and John Ruddock, Brazil, brothers Bill and Carol Buck, Brazil, Marvin and Sandy Buck, Rockville, and several nieces and nephews.
At Morris's request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the DCHS drama department, c/o Abbott Funeral Home, 421 E. Main St. Delphi, IN 46923. Abbott Funeral Home-Delphi was chosen to be in charge of arrangements.
