SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Alex Jondal's deep fly to the track fell just out of reach of Jeffersonville, Ind. left-fielder Brad Koerner with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to lift Mill Creek, Wash. to a thrilling 3-2 victory at the Little League World Series on Tuesday.
The win clinched a berth in the U.S. semifinals for Washington (2-1).
Washington's Jason Todd walked in the seventh, then went to second on a wild pitch and reached third on a throwing error by Indiana third baseman Hayden Robb.
After Indiana reliever Christopher Wenger got a strikeout, Jondal came to the plate and hit his deep single to the warning track that scored Todd.
Jondal also drove in Todd for the tying run with a single in the fifth.
Todd struck out 11 on the mound, and Alec Kisena got the win in relief.
Winless Indiana (0-3) was eliminated. They got off to a good start thanks to Austin Hines, who went 2-for-4 including an RBI triple in the second that gave them a 2-1 lead.
