The Colts training camp is coming to Forest Park Elementary.
Tuesday, members of the Big Blue Football Camps (BBFC) will be engaging students in fun activities.
"We are really excited," Debbie Zimmerman, Title 1 Coordinator of Forest Park Elementary told The Brazil Times. "It gives students a chance to stretch their legs."
The BBFC was launched in 2004 to promote football through recreational and educational activities. The environments are safe and fun for the students.
More than 2,700 kids have participated in the program.
"We really just wanted to reward the students for starting the school year off in a positive way," Zimmerman said.
This is one of 18 BBFC eventsplanned this fall with another 18 for the spring. The Colts are hoping to reach out to more than 10,000 elementary students through the program.
Students will run through an obstacle course that works football skills such as passing and receiving at an elementary skill level.
"We hope that this will be a positive reinforcement for the kids," Zimmerman said, "and to bring a smile on their face."
