Saundra Sue Blair, 71, Clay City, passed away at Royal Oaks Rehabilitation Center, Terre Haute, Aug. 25, 2008, following a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 16, 1936, as the daughter of Lester and Grace (Fields) Heaton.

Mrs. Blair worked as a bank teller at Citizens National Bank, Linton. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, Rural Lyons, Ind.

She married Rex D. Blair on April 5, 1957. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ovid and Pat Heaton, and sisters Portia Heaton and Adele Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, sister-in-law Evelyn Heaton, niece Linda Utter and husband Gary, Noblesville, nephew Hal Anderson and wife Judy, California, great-nephews Ryan Anderson and wife Thaeo, Michigan, Brad Beard and wife Julia, and Bart Beard and wife Janice, great-nephews Patrick Beard, Justin Beard, Jet Anderson and Eric Muencher, great-great niece Kate Anderson, sister-in-law Marilyn Blair, nephew David A. Blair and wife Cathy, and Kathy Sullivan and husband Tom, sister-in-law Norma Blair, great nephews Eric and Joshua Sullivan and niece Kristina Blair.

Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, Wednesday, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Steve Rundell officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of services.
