BRIDGETON -- Milling Days and Craft Demonstration Days will take place in Bridgeton Saturday and Sunday.
Events will begin at 10 a.m. each day and conclude at 5 p.m.
This is also the second year the event will host Fiber Arts Fair.
A bean dinner will be served in the back of Collom's General Store and other food choices will be available at the Mill.
There will be plenty of free parking and several shops will be open.
Milling Days celebrates the birthday of Oliver Evans, the father of the American Industrial Revolution, who developed modern milling techniques. He built the first automated factory, a water-powered mill similar to the Bridgeton Mill.
Those interested in attending the upcoming event are also invited to visit the historic mill and receive a tour from owner Mike Roe.
Craft Demonstration Days at the 1878 house feature pioneer and modern crafters at work creating wares. The crafters will answer questions for those interested in creating their own homemade items.
The Fiber Fair includes spinners, knitters and other fiber artists demonstrating, selling yarn and hand-made garments and household items.
Bridgeton is located in southern Parke County.
