The Clay Community School Board had a special budget session Tuesday night in the Media Center of North Clay Middle School.
Supt. Dan Schroeder started the hearing by explaining a change in the calendar because a law passed by the state.
"The calendar will be changing from a January-December time table to a fiscal calendar from July-June," Schroeder said.
Members of the board were given a chance to ask questions, on the 2009 budget, capital projects plan, school bus replacement plan and levy neutrality but all declined.
The property tax shortfalls in general transportation funds for the 2007-08 were also brought to the attention of the board members with no questions asked by the board.
The board is scheduled on Sept. 15 to vote on the above issues.
