The Northview girls' golf team began a busy week of competition with matches on both Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
After falling in a tight, 207 to 209 match on the road against Cascade to begin the week, the Knights returned home to Forest Park Golf Course to best Western Indiana Conference foe Owen Valley, 190 to 203.
Under rapidly darkening skies against the Patriots, the Knights got a nine hole score of 45 from Olivia Oehler, who garnered medalist honors in the match. She was joined by Savanah Pursell's 46 at the top of the leaderboard and Hayley Miller scored a 49 for the Knights.
Mandy Thomlinson's score of 50 wrapped up the team scoring for the Knights with Shelby French scoring a 57 and Alli Trout adding a 58 in the match.
On Tuesday evening, Northview got a balanced scoring effort as Thomlinson, Oehler and French all shot a score of 51 in the match. Allie Melega carded a 56 to close the scoring for the Knights.
Northview continues play this evening at Forest Park with a match against WIC opponent Edgewood that should give the teams a good idea of where they stand before the conference tournament over the weekend.
