Anger is a powerful emotion. It affects people in different ways. Some people have a "short fuse" and get angry easily. Others only seem to get angry after a long time.
Uncontrolled anger can lead to arguments which can make you very uncomfortable. Some people have very little control over their anger and tend to explode in rages. They usually have low self-esteem and use their anger as a way to manipulate others and feel powerful.
If you feel out of control, walk away from the situation till you cool down. Pray to God, ask his forgiveness and ask Him to help you. Then, negotiate with the person you argued with and try to resolve the problem. It's not reasonable to lose control and hurt somebody you love with words or actions. It's easy to forgive a person, but it's not easy to forget harsh words.
By the way, if you did not get to Bee Ridge Church last Sunday evening to hear J. B. and Melanie O'Neal minister through testimony and singing, you missed a really good program. It was very inspiring.
Also, if you didn't attend our Church Service that morning, you missed a wonderful sermon by Earl Hutcheson who filled in for Pastor Jeff. However, you can redeem yourself by visiting us tomorrow. Pastor Jeff will be giving the message this Sunday.
Sunday School for both kids and adults begins at 9:30 a.m. Church services for both follows at 10:30 a.m. You all probably know by now where the church is located.
