The putting game came up short for the Northview girls golf team in Wednesday's loss to Sullivan and North Central at Forest Park.
Sullivan won the match with a score of 219, followed by North Central's 221 and the Knights finished with a team score of 224.
"Putting really hurt us all around tonight," Northview Coach Josh Trout said. "We did a good job getting to the green, but lost a lot of strokes when we got there."
Hayley Miller led the way for the Knights, carding a 52, followed by a 53 from Allie Melega, 57 from Shelby French and Kylee Orr, who scored a 62.
Trout said he modified his lineup to give some varsity experience to those who have not played too much on that level.
"I had four of our varsity players sit out tonight because I wanted to give the rest of the girls the opportunity to play varsity," he said. "Some played well and others struggled, but they all got valuable experience."
Other Knights' scores from the match came from Rissa Berg, Ali Rentschler, Macie Lynch and Hillary Thomas who finished with 64, 65, 66 and 68, respectively.
Northview's record fell to 9-7 and the team will have a quick turnaround, teeing off today at 4:30 p.m. at Forest Park against Greencastle and Crawfordsville.
