The North Clay cross country teams turned in a pair of second-place team finishes during Tuesday's three-way meet against Greencastle and Speedway at Craig Park.

In the girls' race, Greencastle had a team score of 21 and crossed the first four runners while North Clay finished with 35 and Speedway did not turn in a team score as they did not have enough runners to fill out the top-five scoring runners per team.

Emily Conrad led North Clay finishing fifth overall with a time of 14:36, Reagan Brown placed sixth in 14:48 and was followed by Olivia Howald in seventh-place overall with a time of 15:24. Kaysia Reberger, Leanna Knight and Eileen Stinnet were the next three runners to cross the line in respective times of 15:38, 15:40 and 15:43.

The boys finished with 45 points in their meet, with Speedway winning with a team score of 30 and Greencastle was third with 48 points.

North Clay's Nic Yocom placed first overall with a time of 11:21 while Ian Heffner, Brendan Morris and Paul Dickison were also in the Top 15 finishers, coming in fourth, eighth and 15th overall.

North Clay will next compete against South Vermillion tonight, at 4:30 p.m., at Craig Park.
