Members of V.F.W. Post 1127 broke ground for their future building site, located at 303 S. Depot St., Brazil, Saturday. Those breaking ground at the site included (from left) Building Committee member Mike Galloway, V.F.W. Senior Vice Commander Jim Cassidy, Brazil Mayor Ann Bradshaw, Post Commander Les Walden, and Building Committee members Randy Stearley and Michael Holland. Walden said he hoped to have the building up by Christmas. Graber Post Building, Odon, will construct the building.

About time guys, its been a long road that was started by Vets that I will never know many years ago. This gives us a better opportunity to contribute to the community, support Vets and Vets issues and make the Post more family friendly. In the early days of the VFW many families were single income and life moved on a more local time scale allowing more time to be invested. A little more time constrained now. Its important for the VFW to get those families on board. Its not just a bar, the bar is a social aspect of membership not the driving force for membership. ( I do like the bar though! ) Thanks to the many friends my family has gained since I joined in 2000. You know who you are and I wish the guys that have passed on could have enjoyed this with us. Lets finish the job and make them proud! Duty Honor Pride.
