Local resident, Walt Cooper, made and donated the barnwood frame, a new hobby and business adventure for him. He was the lucky winner of last year's raffle picture of "Mansfield Mill".
Prints of the painting have been made and part of that cost was donated by A+ Printing in Brazil. All proceeds will go to the Senior Center of Clay County.
The art group meets on Tuesday morning at the center. Anyone interested in painting no matter what level of experience or medium used is invited to come and participate. There is no fee. Those who want to observe or chat with the painters are also welcome.
The painting is on display at the Senior Center, 120 S. Franklin. Tickets may be purchased there or from any of the artists. They are $1 each or 6 for $5. Prints are signed and numbered for $5.
The winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Popcorn Festival. For more information call the Center at 448-8848.
