Candidate hosting Clay City town hall meeting

CLAY CITY -- Bob Heaton, candidate for Indiana House District 46, will host a town hall meeting in Clay City Friday.

The meeting will take place at noon at the REIN Library Center, 700 Main St., Clay City.

Heaton organized the town hall meeting in order to learn more about concerns of county residents. The event is open to the public.

Heaton is a native of Cory. After graduating from Clay City High School, he attended Indiana State University, starring on the ISU basketball team. In 1979, he played along side Larry Bird as the Sycamores reached the NCAA Championship game, only to fall to Michigan State.

Heaton and his wife, Jane Ann, have been married for 28 years. The two live in Terre Haute and have two children, Allison (25), and Travis (21).

Heaton is the owner and operator of Heaton Financial Services, Inc.

House District 46 includes southern Vigo County, southern Clay County, Owen County and Bean Blossom Township in Monroe County.
