CCSWCD receives flood dispersement monies

On Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, the Clay County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors assessed the damages reported from the June 2008 floods. Clay County Soil & Water Conservation District will be receiving $50,911.37 out of the approximately $26 million requested. Here is a brief overview of Clay County Soil & Water Conservation Districts plans for the money when received.

Clay County SWCD will use the money for Equipment Rental or Fuel Reimbursement for flood cleanup activities.

CCSWCD will provide :

75 percent cost share on Equipment Rental up to $1,500.

OR

75 percent cost share toward Fuel Reimbursement in lieu of Equipment Rental up to $750.

This applies per applicant. All projects/claims are subject to CCSWCD board approval. Take pictures before & after and forward all receipts to:

Sign up period will be Sept. 24, 2008 thru Oct. 10, 2008. Applications can be obtained at the Clay County Soil & Water Conservation District (CCSWCD) office.
