Parasol Sisters to be at Bridge Festival

BRIDGETON -- The Parasol Sisters (Bowles Family Artists) will brighten the Bridgeton 1878 Barn at this year's Covered Bridge Festival, scheduled for Oct. 10-19.

Included in the group include Lori Bowles Sampson, specializing in photographs, watercolors, and polymer clay sculpted miniatures; Blanche Case, lifelong resident, festival promoter, owner of the barn; and Debra Bowles, specializing in ink and wax paintings, block prints, clay, beeswax candles and goatmilk soaps.

Other Parasol Sisters include Alyssa Bowles, specializing in tatting, calligraphy and cards, and Monica Bowles, specializing in handformed jewelry.

The eldest of the Parasol Sisters is Mazie Bowles, who celebrated her 80th birthday recently.
